Thursday, July 29, 2004 these few days have been pretty stressful for me. it was my mum's birthday on monday n sister's birthday on tuesday. I wrote both of them poems because I was a bit of a 'cheapo' haha. but they seemed pretty touched by my lovely rhymes. went to DFS galleria one night to have buffet dinner. it was a real treat man. the food there was simply delicious.[ch Um] thanks for being there to listen. but i dont feel that now is the right time to talk about it just yet. i think perhaps I should pull up my socks (4 inches so that sydney tan would be pleased) and work hard for my common tests [slacker] say whatever you want to say, Justin. i shall not lose my composure here and make a new enemy. An extra friend is always better than an extra enemy. However, for pride's sake I am not weak. Not as strong as you, I guess. But at least I dont have a secondary two that can beat me in my own CCA. woops. lolz. kidding. yesterday we had National Track and Field Championships. 33 scouts (me included) were given permission to skip school. how wonderful. we did not even have to go to school. just find our way straight to the National Stadium. had a lot of fun in the morning with all my scouts level mates. discman. radio. macdonalds. cheer. stone. sleep. talk cock. sun-tan? SJI did not really do that well though. I went for German at around 3.30pm. and then the first big thing hit me. I finally know the truth. and as the saying goes," sometimes the truth hurts more than lies". Jesu Christus, what should I do? stepping up ceremony is just two days from now. tension is building up among the secondary threes. kenneth is bouncing up and down the scouts den, wanting to pump people already. have fun while you are still secondary three man. secondary four will be a tough job. tomorrow is SJI cross country. and i will be running for 303. i did not even realise until today morning when I was standing directly in front of the board. I forgot to bring my spectacles to school so I could not really see from the back. and Tan Pek Leng just made me realised how pathetic my chinese was. it is the second big thing that hit me. Sunday, July 25, 2004 It seems to me that it was a long time since I have blogged. Many things have happened but somehow they do not really stay in my mind. They just drift off like every regular thing. in other words, i forgot what happened.[slacker] i seriously do not think that sweekien is referring to me. please get your facts right before you vomit all your gossips onto my tagboard. and nope i did not go for kindred spirits. I am in a state of financial difficulties. i need m oney to survive. I need M only to survive. [ch Um] you want to know what sucks. a vacuum cleaner which is very much like my life. *sighz* Oh. now i rememberr an important event. yesterday, the scout lore quest went pretty well. Cumarran showed us his appreciation for our hard work by giving each of the service scouts a badge. it was supposed to be for the participants only but they had so many extra, so we got them too. more badges to sew. I am thinking of buying a new Scout shirt. but once every time i stare into my piggy bank i see less and less notes. *sighz* went to sushi tei after that for dinner with neighbours and then to the club for supper. talked about ghost stories there. some stories were pretty freaky. and of course, I had some of the SJI stories to share too. Wednesday, July 21, 2004 Yesterday was pretty fun. After school we went to Thomson Plaza. apparently Mark was there too but what a pity that we didnt manage to catch him. Hans and Starbucks. A real treat indeed. and JiaJun was there too, according to Kenneth.Happy Racial Harmonny Day. We had a very long and enjoyable recess this morning. With all the games and food from various cultures, everyone was bound to have some fun. I had english oral today. I did not exactly fair that well against Mr Trevor Bamanshaw. All 'satisfactory', at least I never receive any 'needs work'. Hence, I was late for german lesson even though I hitched a ride with Mark, Zul and Jonathan. [Anonymous] Just tell me your name okay? or at least tell me what class and CCA are you from? and then I could perhaps utilise the elimination method to track you down. and kill you off for wasting my precious time in typing this lovely message to you. Just kidding ! [ch Um] Seriously, I do not know what has gotten into you. Monday, July 19, 2004 People nowadays, do have their fare share of comments. but at least they are not targetted at me, they are targetted at my blog. and I believe these comments are pointers which I should consider changing. and I would too, when I am free enough to do it. Right now, the second hand of my clock seems to be moving rather fast and time seems to be going by much faster than I thought. I have not studied for 'ting xie' yet. Neither have I done my Literature Text-based which I do not intend to complete tonight.some minor things in life that perhaps you might be interested to know. If you are not, then stop reading and save those eyes of yours from myopia. I got chinese 'ocean' CD at Sembawang Music store for $19.90. Very worth it. I love more than half of the songs there. A must buy I would say for Chinese. Pioneering on Saturday did not go too well I guess. Integrity got 18.5/50 partially because we were graded by Marcus Png and perhaps partially because we are not that good after all. Which I hope the latter is not true. All teams failed anyway. Jing Zhou made us realised how tight our schedule actually is: next Saturday - AP full dress rehearsal and Scout Law Quiz next next Saturday - Patrol Outing and Stepping Up Ceremony next next next Saturday - AP itself next next next next week - Common Tests (which reminds me English oral is on this Wednesday) and OBS has to clash with NPC. That is real bad news because I seriously do not have the intention to go for NPC immediately after a treacherous OBS. I went for Renaissance XIV. First time, I am supporting SJIMB in their yearly performance. Very impressive show they put up, ranking above Chrisholm College too, I feel. However, today Mr Lui announced that the backdrop of the PAC (Performing Arts Centre) got torn because a few anonymous Secondary 1 Bandsmen. Apparently, it is going to cost the school $16k (sponsored by Mr Lui?) Making good progess on my Ukelele training. But not coping very well with my guitar training. I think my fingertips are too delicate for the strings. Hmm. that sound a little sissified. Never mind, I will train hard to 'toughen'? my fingers. Also trying to learn to spin my pen a full circle. Once I am able to do that I would try spinning books I guess. Receiving 'lessons' from Keith. My neighbour in 303 classroom. Enough crap has been said. Friday, July 16, 2004 this is real interesting. i have decided that my blog can indeed by a very dangerous weapon. however the problem is the nozzle is facing me, not other people...lol. Hence, I would now have a different approach when i write my blog. i will not write as much as I use to. in order not to get myself into trouble and not to get others into trouble too. and also I would try to type in good and proper english and hopefully improve my english.well this week has been a rather hectic week for me. i am finally begin to feel the heavy burden of school workload on my feeble shoulders. very busy with some scouts activities which i would not mention in detail. and also practising very hard for in Warcraft III DOTA. and not to forget I have promised my father that I would work hard for my studies, just so that I can take 10 subjects. Secondly, Cumarran wants Daniel, Jeremy and I to be ICs for his Scout Law Quiz PSA event. Thirdly, a war nearly erupted between the seniors and the Secondary 3s. All just because of Scribe Logs, Treasurer Logs and QuarterMaster Logs. I am going to SJI Renaissance XIV tomorrow night after pioneering test. anyone interested to sit together? sounds rather gay but I dont want to be stranded alone. Keith will be there too. Saturday, July 10, 2004 yoyo guys, rather eventful day today at scouts. suppose 2 b down at 7am 2 open the scouts den. zongbing called me at 7.05am, woke me up from my beauty slp. bcoz laz nite mr greg dint allow me 2 take home the keys. so dey had 2 go take the keys from the keyhole.so went back to slumber. woke up late. so i had to rush. dint haf time for proper styling of hair. but who cares. during fall-in, flag wasnt break properly. we r beginning 2 suck more, cant even tie a highwaymens hitch properly. peter led us for exhausting PT. geez. pioneering test cancelled coz jing zhou is slping. postponed 2 nex wk. so we settled proficiency badges thing. duwane finally doing smth 2 wks b4 stepping down. den we played dog n bone. dint really get 2 run much. den had this mini-pioneering game, where we had 2 find our own equipment n steal other ppl's one too. those r the rules of the game. ours wasnt impressive at all. lolz. was pretty crappy. den at fall-out, al greg said smth abt he entered the LT yday during my speech, n smth abt there would b a change in the unit, n smth abt Famboree in Sept n NPC 2004. den david kwang said smth abt taking me as eg dat i sold all 5 bklets 2 other ppl, not my own parents. den al greg told me, j loi, d toh n jun how dat we haf interview wif principal on monday. n my dad meeting GPK abt the 10 subjects thing too on monday. how coincidental. den zongbing said smth lyk ur uniform shirt can puff out, at max, like mine or Kai Chung's. coz ppl we getting scolded 4 untucked shirts. n den mr kwang said asked j loi, d toh n i 2 vote 4 the 12 PLs. so really a lotta things happen 2day. n im really excited abt the interview. wonder wad would await me if i ever became the SPL. woolala. went to cine wif peter, eugene chum, dom to haf lunch at BK. met bram, nigel n ian. apparently francine was there. n apparently its true. so yep saw her. having lunch tml wif the scouts, scouters, those big shots. Thursday, July 08, 2004 hey guys, my life is really getting more and more complicated nowadays. so many things have been happening and i have been way too busy to report every single thing. so too bad u wun get to find out everything. (like u wan in the first place?...lolz)yesterday, went thru normal sch routine. but then after school we had a sec3 scout fall-in n also a unit fall-in. rushed for unit fall-in, it was to announce the participants of SJI Annual Parade. n im 1 of them. woohooooo. and also to announce national pioneering competition participants. n im oso one of them. woohoooo again. im in the bridge team with the malaysian scholars. yippeee. n 4 more sec2s. n by the time the pioneering comp comes, we would haf already stepped up. making me theoretically a sec4. woohoo. sec3 fall-in was 2 collect consent form n inform us dat we nid 2 help the venture unit wif sum community service thing on friday 6.30pm to 8pm. darn. rushed off for dental appointment. was late. changed my red braces to orange braces. i wanted light blue, but there wasnt any available dat day. n i dun wan PINK (sumhow i noe every1 would luv 2 c me in dat n ridicule me 4 e whole day) rushed off for german. had lunch at macdonalds. made a mistake coz teeth hurtz. grrrrr. met jayashri n cute angel there. went 4 german. understood mostl wad frau chua said. quite pleased wif myself. rushed home. only to rush to uncle robert's wake again for the last time. coz 2day was his funeral (when i was in school). after all dat. finally came home at arnd 11pm. did hmwrk. checked mail at 1am. andrew witnessed dat. dis morn was 'zombiesh' again. had AP training after sch 2day. despite rain. shoes r soaked wet. n arun was very amazed by how my hair managed 2 look exactly the same b4 AP training to after it. apparently the rain had washed all his gel away. lol. my hair styling technique is gd heh. not gonna tell u peeps how 2 do it. hehe. selfish? haha laz day 2 tink abt wad subject 2 drop. really driving me bonkers. ever since day 1 or term 3 i haf been bogged down by damn subject combination thing. i really dun get it. y cant GPK juz let me be? i really feel like bursting in2 tears. every moment in class, every minute at home, every time b4 i slp, i tink abt it. Sunday, July 04, 2004 once again, im about to embark on my journey of writing truth here. =P so yesterday there was cedar girls campfire. its theme was 'glanz nacht'. german for glamour night. went to sji at arnd 5pm. played carom. won harish but lost to sharan. left arnd 5.30 i tink. abt 15 ppl. zong bing, cha yi, sharan, harish, wei yi, eahy, dom nalpon, kaichung, sham, marv tang, daryl tay n me. when 2 toa payoh den took 155 to cedar. the campfire was quite gd. one of the better ones i would say. at least there were no screw ups in their fire lighting. howeva the 'structure' was a bit crappy. but wad 2 do dey r guides after all. :Dafter campfire, went 4 refreshments at canteen. most of us *ahem ahem* at girls. but did not caught sight of any chio bu. maybe coz i oredi haf one deep in my heart. *so sweet* sharan, dom, kai chung n i went to PS macs for dinner/supper. reached home arnd 12midnite. watched WWE till 2am. yikes dis morn woke up arnd 1pm. coz of mum. i felt quite pissed off with her at first. n 2day seems 2 b 1 of her bad mood days. but ltr my dad told me dat my uncle who was in the hosp had juz went. *sobs* quite sad to hear abt it. haiz. y do ppl juz haf 2 leave lidat. leave their love ones missing them. Friday, July 02, 2004 hey guys n gals, the long awaited friday has finally arrived. we have yet to presented for English. But when we do I am quite sure it would b very amusing. Darrick informed me about PaPa bear going to treat the LLTC ppl. my first reaction was *sighz*. but den he also mentioned dat zhuang mao n i could come along. after all we were suppose 2 go for LLTC too. real touched by that action. well at least we were remembered. a great feeling to have.for scouts, we had footdrill arnd the track. some hong kong scouts came 2 visit. we werent exactly introduced formally so what the hell. who cares abt them. then we 'fell-in' at 3rd lvl foyer 2 tell our lvl wad post we want. I chose 2 be SPL n sec2 lvl co-ordinator. hopefully my wish would b fulfilled. :D Pei Yuan wans me 2 write PLTC report for SJI news update by monday. hmm. opportunity to suan june ren. lolz. kidding. who wants his name in the update...bribe me...haha. im evil. muahahaha going for cedar campfire tml. dun worry okayz. i wun tao3 dan4 (haha...hua yu) btw thanks for choosing!!! Thursday, July 01, 2004 sup fellaz. nothing much 2 say. just typing coz i feel like exercising my fingers. how interesting. during hist elec, studied on post WW1 era. realised that czech rep was formed den. also realised dat german did not lose the war, THEY ENDED IT. the injustice dat they had to suffer is practically unbearable to any country. they had to pay 6600million bucks as reparations. not allowed to reunite. small navy. small army (100 000 men only). etc etc. shall not go in details. too disappointed 2 talk abt dat.Euro Update: Portugal proceeds in2 the finals after winning Holland 2-1. Czechs vs Greece. tonight. a match definitely worth watching.
